Terms & conditions

The competition is open to all residents of the Republic of South Africa over eighteen (18) years of age except the employees of ADS24 (the ‘Organiser’), their respective advertising, media and PR agencies as well as their family members, consultants, directors, associates and trading partners.
The competition opens on Tuesday, 6 September 2011 and closes on Sunday, 9 October 2011. Entries received after this date will not be accepted.
To enter the competition, entrants must visit www.ads24.co.za/thinkafrikaans and download the t-shirt template.
Entrants must draw inspiration from the creative examples given on the Facebook page, and complete a t-shirt design that captures the Afrikaans essence of any famous or blockbuster movie. An A4 poster supporting the design must also be submitted.
Once the t-shirt and poster have been designed, they must be emailed to baron@mortimer-harvey.co.za with the subject line Pick my Afrikaans T-shirt and Supporting Poster. E-mails must not be bigger than 2MB. Only one entry per person.
Visitors to the site will be encouraged to vote for their favourite design by clicking on ‘Like’ on the Facebook page (www.facebook.com/ads24SouthAfrica).
All entries will be judged by a panel of judges. Their decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The judges reserve the right not to award a prize(s) if the creative standard does not warrant it.
The prizes are: 1st place: Apple MacBook Pro [MC374], 2nd place: Apple iPad [16GB 3G]; 3rd place: Apple iPhone 4 [16GB local].
The prizes may not be exchanged for cash. The Organiser reserves the right to substitute the stated prizes for other prizes of a similar cash value.
The winning three t-shirts and posters will be put on display at the Pendoring Awards.
Winners must be available to attend the Pendoring Awards in Johannesburg on 21 October 2011. The Organiser will make all travel and accommodation arrangements, should a participant not be from Johannesburg.
By submitting an entry, the participant declares that the design is their own original artwork and not the design of a third party. Each participant therefore indemnifies ADS24 from any liability brought by a third party regarding the design.
By entering, participants agree that artwork submitted for the competition may be used by the Organiser at its own discretion in promotional material or as they deem fit.
Kindly note tha the views expressed and copyright infringements made in these entries were done so by the entrants and are not those of ads24 or any of it's employees.
The winners may be required to take part in publicity and participation in the competition is conditional upon agreement to take part in such publicity and to allow their names and likeness to be used by the Organiser for pre-arranged promotional purposes. Winners also agree that their names and designs may also be released in connection with the competition. Winners will not be entitled to any payment or other remuneration for such publicity or otherwise. All and any materials, including publicity materials, will be the sole property of the Organiser.
