What you need to enter

• A duly registered existing South African SMME/entity that’s been operational for more than two years
• The business must be a B2C (business-to-consumer) business
• A functioning website (with limited or no e-commerce functionality)
• A staff count of at least 10 employees and sales turnover exceeding R200 000 per month prior to Covid-19. You need to be able to provide projected growth potential
• You need to have your own retail store. Note that e-commerce products sold via this platform (and for the purpose of this competition offering) should be lightweight and easy to transport via express or economy freight. (No large items such as furniture or large appliances will be moveable as part of this e-commerce offering.)
• At least 50% of product range in stock and available to sell immediately
• High-resolution product photography for all products/stock to be sold via the e-commerce offering
• Product information, such as titles and descriptions, that will form part of the e-commerce site
• You must be able to demonstrate that you have invested effort in building brand customer intelligence (CI) and have at least a logo, colour scheme, font types and brand assets/images available for marketing purposes.
   

Having the following in place will also benefit your entry:

• The ability to demonstrate a good understanding of your business niche and customers
• Showing that you have been actively building and engaging with customers via their social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram or Twitter
• Preferably be a homegrown South African brand that uses local manufacturers
